Magellan Aviation Group is proud to welcome Kalani Lee as part of our 12-week summer internship program. This immersive experience is designed to give interns hands-on exposure to all facets of our business—including sales, finance, accounting, repairs, and more. Throughout the program, interns like Kalani have the opportunity to gain a well-rounded understanding of how each department plays a crucial role in keeping the aviation aftermarket running smoothly.
To help you get to know Kalani better, we asked her a few questions about her background, goals, and interests:

1. What college do you attend, and what are you majoring in?
I currently attend the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where I’m majoring in Business Finance.
2. What inspired you to choose your major?
What inspired me to choose finance was how broad the field is and how it impacts not just our jobs, but our everyday lives.
3. What are your career goals after college?
After college, I plan to attend graduate school and earn my MBA.
4. What drew you to Magellan Aviation Group for your internship?
I was drawn to Magellan to learn more
about the aviation field. When most people think of aviation, they think of engineering, but I was intrigued to better understand what happens behind the scenes.
5. What do you hope to learn or experience during your internship?
From this internship, I hope to gain a better understanding of how the aviation world operates and how each department contributes to the industry as a whole.

6. What are your interests or hobbies outside of work?
I enjoy any kind of outdoor activity—especially hiking, rock climbing, and running. I also love reading novels and spending time doing arts and crafts.
7. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I would travel to Thailand. I have family there and would love the opportunity to visit and spend time with them.
8. What’s a fun fact most people don’t know about you?
A fun fact about me is that I love exploring and challenging myself. For example, I never imagined being part of a pageant, but I participated in a Hmong beauty pageant this past November and won the “People’s Choice Award.”
9. Any quote or motto you try to live by?
“Be the change you want to see in the world.”
We’re excited to have Kalani with us this summer and look forward to watching her grow and thrive as she explores the aviation industry from the inside out!
