History

Since the early 1980’s the Magellan Group team has demonstrated a long and proven track record of providing innovative aviation support services. Our broad base of experience includes the ownership and management of aircraft, engines and spare parts portfolios spanning more than 25 years. In 1999 our former company, the AGES Group was sold to Volvo Aero Services LP. In 2000 Magellan Group was formed with a sizable capital base and began operations.

Today the management and staff of Magellan continue to develop industry leading programs for the regional and commercial sectors of the aviation industry. As evident from the recent consignment program awarded from Bombardier as well as our rapidly growing and dynamic lease pool of engines available for short-medium-long term contracts. Magellan today manages its own fleet of over 85 engines.

Our goal is to provide rapid and economical solutions for our customers and partners within an industry that is constantly plagued by cycles and downturns. Magellan achieves results.

Magellan has expanded its capital base by adding PNC to our credit facility. Today this facility is provided by Comerica, CIT and PNC.
